16u White run ends in Semi's at Diamond Nation

Diamond Nation, NJ – The Sports Zone 16U White team lost in the Semi Finals of the Diamond Nation Fall Harvest Tournament over the weekend. 16U White were winners of their Pool giving up 1 run and scoring 25 runs in the pool play round. Colin Murphy, Michael Dutch, and Owen Seubert all threw complete games in the pool play match ups.

Game 1 Recap:

16U White defeated the Locked In Expos 8-0 with Colin Murphy getting the win.

Game 2 Recap: Michael Dutch got the win on the mound and Tim Scholl hit a Grand Slam to beat Triple Play (NJ) 8-0.

Game 3 Recap: Owen Seubert gave up 1 run in 6 innings of work for the victory over the DJacks 15U (NJ) 9-1.

Semi- Finals: Ryan Kleinhans got the start against the DJacks Elite (NJ). After falling behind 2-0, the 16U White team erupted for 4 runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning to take a 4-2 lead. DJacks got a run back in the 5th, and then would break the game open in 6th to win the game 15-4.

For the tournament, the 16U team committed 0 errors in pool play, garnered 3 complete games and gave up 1 run to advance.
