Baseball training

Players will learn proper fundamentals and mechanics of pitching while developing alternative pitches like the curveball, the change-up, the sinker, and others. An increased importance is placed on proper arm angle and body mechanics to increase velocity and movement of pitches while decreasing the chances of arm injury.

Advanced Pitching Class

Come train and be a part of CNY's premiere pitching class. The Advanced Pitching Class is a 15 week class focusing on pitching fundamentals established college and professional pitchers do to keep their game at a high level. Becoming a next level pitcher doesn’t happen overnight. As much as we’d all like it to happen you can’t do one throwing program, one specific weighted ball routine, or one magical pitching drill to increase your velocity and improve your durability on the mound.

Instead, we focus on improvements in velocity, pitching IQ, and injury prevention is almost always an accumulation of many different efforts performed over time. With our Advanced Pitching Class we focus on the variables to maximize your pitching development and set yourself up for success and longevity on the mound.

Players will have the opportunity to develop in the positions they currently play.  The class will focus on outfield, middle-infield and the corner positions and will concentrate on improving a players range and footwork for all positions to increase the players fielding consistency. 

*Middle-infielders with focus on double-plays, relays, double-cuts and the slow roller while making strong accurate throws.

*Corner players will learn the finer points of playing first and third while covering slow rollers, back hands and other tough plays.  

*Outfielders will learn to anticipate and react while understanding how to cut balls off and track balls to allow setup for strong accurate throws.

9u-12u Infield Class

Corner Infield Class 13u-18u

The class will focus on  the corner infield positions and will concentrate on improving a players range and footwork for all positions to increase the players fielding consistency.
*Corner players will learn the finer points of playing first and third while covering bunt defenses, cuts and relays, slow rollers, back hands and other tough plays.

Glove actions: receiving strikes and picking short hops, blocking, glove transfer, throwing footwork, throwing mechanics, throwing program.
